Amarillo, TX – FirstBank Southwest (FBSW) has been proudly supporting local schools through its School Spirit Card Program since 2019. In 2024, the program partnered with 20 schools across the Texas Panhandle to create, market, and distribute customized Debit Cards featuring each school’s logo or mascot, with 5 more schools added to the list in 2025. These cards not only allow users to showcase their school pride but also provide a way to give back to their school districts.
For every debit card transaction, FirstBank Southwest donates a portion to the corresponding school district. The more transactions a user has on the card throughout the year, the more money the school receives. These donations can be used at the discretion of the school districts, providing them with a flexible funding source for various programs and needs.
Totals for 2024 school donations are as follows:
- Perryton Independent School District – $23,749.95
- Booker Independent School District – $6,780.85
- Hereford Independent School District – $10, 091.90
- Pampa Independent School District – $15,883.30
- Amarillo High School (Amarillo Independent School District) – $1,055.20
- Tascosa High School (Amarillo Independent School District) – $972.25
- Caprock High School (Amarillo Independent School District) – $828.20
- Palo Duro High School (Amarillo Independent School District) – $722.15
- AmTech Career Academy (Amarillo Independent School District) – $3.40
- Randall High School (Canyon Independent School District) – $801.80
- Canyon High School (Canyon Independent School District) – $677.55
- West Plains High School (Canyon Independent School District) – $579.30
- Darrouzett Independent School District – $1,366.75
- Accelerate Christian Church – $202.15
- Bushland Independent School District – $604.35
- Balko Independent School District – $1,444.20
- Ascension Academy – $10.65
- San Jacinto Christian Academy – $204.45
- Miami Independent School District – $161.35
- White Deer Independent School District – $283.35
FirstBank Southwest is excited to announce a total donation of $66,423.10 for 2024, a remarkable 17% increase from the $56,759.45 donated for 2023.
