Covenant Title Company has a full-time hourly opening for a Title Company Closer at our Amarillo, TX Wolflin location.
Basic Function: Responsibilities for this position include closing cash transactions, home equity loans and conventional, FHA and VA mortgage loans. Also responsible for submitting the closed loan package to lender for approval and ensure closing requirements are met.
Job Specifications: High School education or equivalent. Minimum of three years title and escrow experience with previous loan closing experience a plus. Attention to detail, problem solving, and decision making abilities are essential. Proficiency on the computer, typing and 10-key skills are necessary. Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software helpful. Good interpersonal, communication and customer relation skills, as well as ability to manage several projects simultaneously is necessary. Mental and visual concentration are necessary for handling frequent interruptions and working in a high volume, fast paced environment. Position can be mentally and physically stressful.
- Order surveys and other required documentation as requested.
- Prepare CDF and settlement statements and submit to lender for approval.
- Responsible for making sure commitment requirements are met and loans are closed per lender guidelines.
- Fund closings
- Participates in an on-going comprehensive training program to maintain awareness of compliance regulations; complies with operating controls and procedures.
- Internal and External marketing per guidelines of the Title Company President.
