Wealth Management Account Officer


The Wealth Management Department has an open position for a full-time Wealth Management Account Officer, at the Wolflin Banking Center in Amarillo, Texas. Regularly scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There may be some job requirement duties that will require the employee to work after normal work hours. 

Wealth Management Account Officer Job Description Overview

Basic Function: The person in this position will be responsible for developing new wealth management customers, and servicing and retaining existing wealth management customers; responsible for procedure and policy compliance for new and existing accounts in the wealth management department, and retaining current customers while maintaining awareness of and sensitivity to the confidential nature of customers. A qualified candidate must be highly organized, knowledgeable in investment advisory services, trust, retirement, IRA plan rules and regulations, administrative skills, competent in and familiar with investment and economic terminology and theory, have marketing/business development experience, and be well-spoken and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Job Specifications: 
The person applying to this position should hold an associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or another business related field, with at least 4 to 10 years of financial services industry experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer relation skills and problem solving skills are required. This position requires excellent proficiency in computer skills including the Microsoft Windows environment and the MS Office suite, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point, as well as financial planning software and electronic communications software. This applicant should possess a proven ability to work with deadlines, across a variety of projects and with diverse customers; flexibility, adaptability and ability to work in a changing environment required. This applicant must be able to prioritize competing events; time management is critical. Must be a self-starter, organized, goal and detail-oriented with strong commitment to accuracy and able to work independently and as part of a team. This person must possess the ability to make customer calls on prospective customers and support calls on existing customers and centers of influence.
