Amarillo Chamber of Commerce chooses FirstBank Southwest Marketing Director for annual award.
Amarillo, TX – FirstBank Southwest (“FBSW”) is excited to announce that Rachel K. Smith, VP/Marketing Director, was selected as a 2021 Top Twenty Under 40 by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce.
Smith has a certification for American Bankers Association Bank Marketing School, was featured in the Amarillo Magazine: Women in Business (2021), and has certifications for FEMA Emergency Management Institute. In her career, she has lead functions of communications, issues management, media relations, sponsorships, social media, and public relations. “I have learned that a successful career always depends on the ability to work with people. To always be responsible for your actions, work hard and strive to understand the other person’s point of view, and always to do the right thing,” stated Smith.
FBSW CEO, Andy Marshall stated, “We are very proud of Rachel’s selection as a Top Twenty Under 40 award winner. She is a valued asset to this bank and to the Panhandle as a whole. And her selection is third party validation of what we’ve known all along.”
The Top Twenty Under 40 Award was created to annually honor the area early career professional who demonstrate professional excellence and bring value to the Amarillo business community. To be selected for this Business Excellence award, a person must be employed with an Amarillo area company, reside within 30 miles of Amarillo, demonstrated professional excellence in their career, have brought value to the Amarillo business community, display a commitment to Amarillo through community service, and be younger than the age of 40.
