FirstBank Southwest (FBSW) is committed to maintaining the privacy of our customers. We will only collect and use information that we believe to be useful (and allowed by law) in conducting our business, such as:
- Date and time our site was accessed
- IP address (A specific number assigned to users of the Internet)
- Types of browsers used (Explorer, Google Chrome, and others)
- City, State and Country
FBSW uses this information to create summary statistics and to determine the level of interest in information available on our site. The information may also be used to track any suspicious activity associated with our site.
We take appropriate steps to keep account information accurate and up to date. If customers notice that information is not complete, accurate or current, they may call us at the telephone number shown on their monthly statement and let us know. We will investigate and correct the information as quickly as possible.
Our employees access customer information only when needed to maintain the accounts or otherwise meet the customer’s banking needs. Passwords to a customer’s account information are encrypted and unreadable to our employees. There should never be a need for customers to reveal their passwords to one of our employees. Requests for such information should be immediately reported to the bank.
Customers and visitors to our site may elect to provide us with personal information via E-mail or online forms. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the sender’s request.
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.
Some areas of our web site may use a “cookie” (a file stored on the visitor’s computer) to allow the logging of pages used within the site and to know if the site has been visited before.
