AMARILLO, TX – FirstBank Southwest (“FBSW”) Wealth Management announced the appointment of Todd Wetsel as Senior Vice President and Trust Investment Officer, and Terri Wright as Vice President and Senior Trust Administrator at FirstBank Southwest Wealth Management.
Prior to joining FBSW, Wetsel had 20 years of banking experience with 17 of those years in Wealth Management. He grew up in Amarillo, Texas graduating from Amarillo High School in 1997. He attended Amarillo College and graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2001 with a BBA degree in Finance. While attending college, Todd began his banking career as a teller before moving on to Wealth Management after graduation.
In 2005, he enlisted in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout and was assigned to the 1 st Cavalry Division stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. After exiting the Army in 2010, he resumed his banking career as an investment manager with a local bank trust department.
Todd currently serves on the board for the Texas Panhandle War Memorial, the Amarillo Wesley Community Center Foundation, and the Catalyst Committee with the Amarillo Area Foundation.
Terri was born and raised in Amarillo and began her banking career with Texas American Bank in Amarillo, Texas, in 1987. She has been involved in various aspects such as investments, administration and operations of a Trust Department during the past 36 years.
She currently serves as an administrator for agencies for individuals and non-profit organizations, IRA’s and Trusts. Terri attended Amarillo College and is a 2000 graduate of the Texas Trust School offered by the Texas Bankers Association. Terri is a member of the Amarillo Area Estate Planning Council and Women’s Bankers Association. Terri volunteers her time and services to several charities in Amarillo.
