AMARILLO, TX –FirstBank Southwest (FBSW) announced the promotion of Cayla Maestas, CPA, to Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, a strategic leadership move supporting the bank’s continued growth and long-term vision.
A Texas Panhandle native, Maestas joined FirstBank Southwest in 2018, and was promoted to Controller in 2023. As CFO, she will oversee the bank’s financial strategy and stewardship as the organization continues to expand.
“This promotion reflects both our growth and the depth of leadership within our organization,” said Andy Marshall, President and Chief Executive Officer. “As we prepare for the future, it’s important that we align our leadership structure to support where we’re headed. Cayla has the experience, expertise, and perspective to serve the bank well in this role.”
Maestas brings more than 10 years of banking and accounting experience to the position. She began her career in public accounting and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting from Texas Tech University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (2023).
The transition follows decades of financial leadership by Jerry Don Williams, who previously served as Chief Financial Officer and now continues in his role as Chief Operating Officer, as well as Director and Executive Vice President of FirstBank Southwest and its parent company, FirstPerryton Bancorp, Inc.
